Our RMI-Flex Product

RMI-Flex fluid-applied roofing membrane product

RoofMart International (RMI) manufactures high solid, low permeance fluid-applied roofing and waterproofing systems to renovate existing commercial and industrial rooftops and building envelope applications.

It all starts with a non-breathable liquid applied membrane whose performance matches roll sheet Type I vapor retarders. It forms a durable, seamless monolithic membrane with superior adhesion conforming to existing roofs or substrate surfaces with same-day curing for a finished application or a base for liquid applied roof coatings. RMI also provides highly weather-resistant, low perm liquid-applied roof coatings and rigid spray polyurethane foams.

RMI works directly with roofing contractors, architects, consultants, commercial and industrial building owners, and property management companies to provide rooftop waterproofing solutions for: • Airports • Auditoriums • Clinics • Convention Centers • Federal/State Government • Grocery Stores • Gymnasiums • Hospitals/Healthcare • Hotels/Motels • Manufacturing Facilities • Nursing Homes • Office Spaces • Restaurants • Schools/Colleges • Shopping Centers • Silos • Storage Facilities • Warehouses

RMI offers real world-sustainable roofing solutions by conducting forensic project evaluations to provide the best condition-specific solution for your personal asset management needs. Put our 40+ year history to work and contact us to determine if we are the right fit for your project.

• Two-part catalyzed Polyglycol rubber, 100% solids, solvent free, non-breathable vapor retarder liquid applied membrane used as a base coat or flashing membrane for application in multiple roofing and waterproofing component systems.

• Fluid Applied Membrane Perm rating: Non-Breathable per Permeance testing. • While many fluid applied membranes have excellent elongation properties, RMI Flex has 100% memory. • Ideal for both extreme high and low temperature applications. • Does not require reinforcing fabrics. • Ideal for both vertical and horizontal applications. • Exceptional dry and cure times make it impervious to rain within 30 minutes depending on ambient temperature. • Same day surface wear coat applications. • Brush, roller or spray applied.

Our RMI-Thane Product

RMI-Thane liquid-applied urethane roof coating product

• A silver high solid, low VOC based, single component urethane (flexible) liquid applied (radiant barrier) roof coating for either stand-alone application or over RMI-Flex fluid applied membrane for a finished installation. • Liquid Applied Roof Coating Perm rating: Breathable per Permeability testing. • Contains higher percent of polished flake aluminum. • May be used as a rust inhibitor to prevent further oxidation. Resistant but not impervious to surface contaminants. • Low permeability than typical water based elastomeric coating. • Durable wear surface. • Ideal for both extreme high and low temperature applications. • Ideal for both vertical and horizontal applications. • Brush, roller or spray applied.

Stand-Alone Substrates: • Structural Concrete. • Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF). • Asphalt Built-Up Roofing (BUR). • Modified Bitumen (SBS & APP). • Metal (Ducts, Roof Panels, Wall Panels, Coping, Flashings, Gutters). • Single Ply (EPDM, PVC, TPO, Hypalon).

Incompatible Substrates: • Silicone. • Coal Tar. • Not intended as an unprotected finished traffic or pedestrian walkway.

Our RMI-Primer Products

Primers as surface preparation are an intricate part of any fluid applied roofing and waterproofing system. Their fundamental purpose is to assist adhesion to a particular substrate or existing roof system prior to application of RMI thus ensure limiting moisture migration from the underlying substrate or existing roof system. Unchecked moisture migration from the underside could lead to delamination of the new fluid applied system. RMI primers have been formulated for specific applications and substrates.

RMI requires both moisture & adhesion testing prior to new system installation. These tests determine how much or how many coats of a specific primer are required to function properly based upon tested field conditions. When in doubt as to a particular substrate or project specific application, contact RMI Technical Services.

Contact RMI for applicable substrates and applications. • Fluid applied single component aromatic primer to provide adhesion for RMI products as "RMI Flex" vapor barrier. • Low VOC: Has moderate odor during application. • Required for application of "RMI Flex" unless otherwise approved by RMI Technical Services. • Cure rate will vary depending upon temperature, humidity and wind for local conditions. Allow primed surface to be dry to touch before application of additional materials.

Stand-Alone Substrates: • Structural Concrete. • Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF). • Asphalt Built-Up Roofing (BUR). • Modified Bitumen (SBS & APP). • Metal (Ducts, Roof Panels, Wall Panels, Coping, Flashings, Gutters). • Single Ply (EPDM, PVC, TPO, Hypalon). • Lightweight Insulating Concrete (LWIC). • Wood (Nailers, Support Blocks).
