RMI was originally formed in the late 60's by three brothers who developed the primary components as a roofing and waterproofing system. Roofmart International was then incorporated in 1990 where it has continued its legacy of creating quality fluid applied materials ever since.
Yes, RMI has consistently produce the same quality materials over and over and over for at least 50 years. Continuity and quality may be wishful thinking for some roofing manufacturers but with RMI it is part of our DNA.
In order to properly optimize the performance properties of the RMI system, its application requires both proficient installers of a highly competent roofing contractor and knowledgeable specifiers. In developing its technical sales model for total support, RMI took a hard look at the success stories of both contractors and specifiers. A common set of successful traits were evident; The owner or principal had surrounded them self with quality experts at each phase of their business. Thus, was borne the RMI team concept.
RMI came to the conclusion that the manufacturing sector has historically had the wrong approach in supporting its customers. Instead RMI’s technical sales model developed a team of internal specialists from point A to point Z including superior products, roofing contractors with installation expertise, technical expertise and seasoned roof consultants and specifiers/architects at every phase of a project without typical project duplications and disconnects. It just simply works.
Why? Because project success is predicated upon a vertical integration of matching expertise in manufacturing, to support services, to its counterparts within the contracting and specifier firms. Just hard work between dedicated project professionals at each step.
RMI’s technical philosophy is that, in some way or another, each project is unique and has condition specific requirements. There are no standard applications, specifications or solutions that are "one-size fits all". All buildings are "Condition Specific." That is why RMI has created a think tank in which any of the aforementioned participants can directly communicate with one another regardless of North American location.
